January 25 (writing at NAIA 3)
It was our first DAY in Vietnam since we arrived at dawn today. We only have a couple hours of sleep and everyone seems to be a little bit tired and excited. We started the day by eating our free breakfast! Their food is really yummy by the way especially the yoghurt ahhhh I wish we also have that one here in the Philippines. haha. So okay, the first place we visited in Saigon was the Reunification Palace it was the nearest tourist spot in our hotel uhm it's a 5 minute walk. The place is very clean and very historical with all the tanks they used for the war, the tunnels where they hide during the war, the car the president rode while escaping the war and many more! After that we went directly to the Notre Dame Cathedral which was also about a 5 minute walk from the palace and across the Cathedral is the Post Office. Their post office is really nice, or maybe it was just because it's my first time to be able to go inside a Post Office that I was really amazed. There were a lot of Post Cards and souvenirs inside and what struck me the most in that place is this really old man writing a letter maybe to his wife, it was like the most heart warming thing a guy can do for the girl he loves, write a letter for her.
It was already noon when we got out from the Post Office which means it's already Lunch time! We had our lunch in this very cozy restaurant called L'usine it's located near the Opera house so we got to sight see that too. In the restaurant, there's a shop where they sell clothes, shoes, watches, and other accessories so we checked that out first while waiting for my parents to arrive since they're still waiting for Klyde and Kyle who got lost on the way. When they arrived, we ordered food and luckily the waiter we got is really handsome! I mean I got attracted to him. haha. I even took a picture of him while he was taking my brother's order. oh no, i'm not a paparazzi. hahaha.
So dinner, we ate dinner at Pho 2000 in which my sister told us that it is one of the most famous restaurants in Saigon because in the year 2000, the president of the United States, Bill Clinton eat and enjoyed their food. So the place was full of Clinton's picture ordering food inside the resto. Their food is really yummy though very spicy and they serve like super kaduper kasuper kaduper maraming dahon.
After dinner, we visited the City Hall. It was nothing special really just the building and the lights during night. haha. So that was how our day went. Prolly the most tiring day ever. lmao.
